A BIG THANK YOU to all BCHMI members who gave their weekend to help out at the work bee at Elk Hills group camp on Aug. 20-21.  It was a very rewarding time to be able to offer our services to make a big difference in this camp in such a short time.  Like they say-" Many hands make light work!"  Well, over 140 picket posts were up rooted and new ones planted in two days work.  We had 25 Back Country members show up and boy did they work!  Together with MTRA-dead trees were also trimmed and bushes and stumps taken out to really improve the looks of this camp.  Leftover gravel was also placed outside the two outhouses to give a much cleaner entry way.  Breakfast was served by our group-spearheaded by Marieta Davis and Sandy Seppi.  Fine job done!  Lunch was served on Saturday by MTRA and that was headed up by Betty Randall and her gals.  We were blessed with so much food from both meals that we ate again on Sunday.  Again, Thanks for all those who made this a very successful weekend-without horses!!
