Pigeon River & Beyond - Back Country Horsemen, Michigan

February 19th at 1:00 to 3:30 will be our next meeting.  It will again be held at Jay's Sporting Goods in the Outback room in Clare.  It is time to renew our memberships and elect new officers.  All memberships from 2010 will expire Dec 31 but have till  March 31.  This ends the grace period.   If anyone is willing to place their name on the ballet for a particular office, please contact me or Kathy Lawless.

Remember, to vote at the February meeting you MUST have your 2011 dues paid to obtain a ballot.  Nominations for officers must be in writing and the person being nominated needs to accept the nomination in writing. 

Also when filling out a membership form, please include ALL YOUR INFORMATION, even if you think we have it on file already.

We will also be having a silent auction featuring several nice items.  Gordon and Marieta Davis have had a hat and zipper sweatshirt made up to commemorate our gathering and ride that was held  last fall at the Ricksgers.  They are one of a kind.  Hopefully, this will be the beginning of something that will happen each year. 

Also, Gabrielle Hume and Karen Bodenbach had a crafty day at Gabrielle's and together they made wonderful Firestarters.  These are wonderful for a safe way to start your camp fires....some even have a little surprise within for added effects!  Received a note from Ellen Vanslyke and she has several pretty T-shirts that she will be bringing.... 

So, if there is anyone else that would like to add to this-please free to do so....just makes it fun to see what we can come up with! 

Our group has also received "several invitations"  to come ride different areas and we will be discussing this .  Make sure you all bring your daily planners to help alleviate conflicting dates!  We are looking forward to a fun summer of riding-Lord willing!
