I'm a Shiawassee Trail Rider along with Norma Laine down in Mt Morris, MI. Teaching school daily to help these children learn about nature and the wonderful out of doors --so not much good in getting out to meetings to talk to adults about our horse concerns.

My dad (Lee) is a horse lover and wanted to make sure we can keep this open.

The Board of Directors of Waterloo Hunt discussed this issue last night, as we ride actively -- and have for 60 years -- in the Waterloo Recreation Area in Grass Lake. We are communicating with our members, giving them direction on writing their legislators and advising them to ask every rider they know to write their State Rep now, and keep track of this bill going forward. THANKS to Back Country Horsemen for mobilizing horsemen around the state on this important issue. Please contact me at any time for assistance. MJB

We have enjoyed trail riding for 14 years, I've often thought the contribution to horsemen have made, to rustic camping has been under valued. The trails and campsites need to be preserved for everyone, who appreciates our great State and it's wild life.

Just for your information: By being a member of our guestbook does not make you a member of Back Country Horsemen. We encourage all who have not filled out their membership form with alloted dues please do so as soon as possible. We are in this battle for all across the state and we need everyone to help out at this time. Your membership dues will help us along with a generous donation. greetings, you folks have a excellent site.keep up the good work.can't really see where the powers to be would have such a problem with such a wholesome eco friendly activity. not a big issue out west as horses are a necessity to pack up to high elevations.
