Hi Nanette,

Thanks for the kind comments. I've been working with folks at the state level on similar issues for almost 3 years and will not back down to the MDEQ as I attempt to improve tourism and recreation in our underwater world. After researching your group, I am finding parallels on issues that make no sense as to why the DNR is acting this way...whatsoever. What happened to our fundamental right to enjoy our natural resources? This may be a legal issue for Michigan citizens under the Public Trust Doctrine.

We have to find a way to get the cold hard message across to those in charge that some within state agencies and departments (and commissioners) are making critical decisions that (when combined with other denials) are crippling Michigan's economy. If I were a CEO and saw this happening in my corporation - they be fired! Yet these people continue to remain in influential positions and are so entrenched that the public throws up their hands and move away. Nothing bugs me more when someone is a puppet on a string and the agency/department is controlling the strings. We need to stand up for what is right.

Things need to change.
(in my mumble opinion)
This isn't a political statement - just my personal opinion.
