I hope to see you all at the Annual Meeting in Clare at 1:00 p.m. on February 4, 2012, we have a lot of business to attend to at this meeting and need our members there. Please plan to come at 12:15 or 12:30 so you will have time to sign in, visit, look over the silent auction items, and do some more visiting before the meeting starts. See you on Feb 4 at Jay's Sporting Goods Store in the OUTBACK ROOM.

Hi Everyone, Whew, the rain finally stopped down here, we have sunshine, Hooray! I love the new pictures, thanks Mike. Even tho the weather was crappy for the time some of us spent in Elk Hill Camp, the company and visiting and LITTLE amount of riding was great. Thanks to all three of the Legislators who chose to come ride with us. I think they had a good time and enjoyed the riding. Lots and lots of information flew down the highway after the ride and time was spent with everyone in a big circle at the campfire exchanging ideas. I think some good information will get transferred to Lansing. Keep up the good work BCH we're making steady, even tho it seems slow, progress in our Right to Ride. Enjoy the autumn, get braced for the winter, hug your horses and keep in touch with us.

Hi PR&B Members, I want to thank all those who attended the Farmlane Campout weekend in June, I think everyone enjoyed the trails and visiting with both new and old friends. Please don't forget about our upcoming Trail Ride in the U.P. in August, call or e-mail either myself or Norm Seppi to let us know if you plan to come to the Trail Ride, Norm needs the information for both the parking in camp at Pine Marten Run and to know how many pounds of fish to buy for the Saturday Night Fish Fry. The fish, fries, and cole slaw are being donated by Jim and Wendy Nord and Norm and Sandy Seppi. We are asking all participants to furnish their own table service, drinks and a passing dish of veggies, salad or dessert to add to the dinner. We will have our donation jar out on the table because there will be no other fund raiser event over this particular weekend.
Pine Marten Run is a wonderful place to ride, hope lots of members will be making plans to attend.

I would like to Thank all the Back Country Members for showing up and helping at Goose Creek Work Bee this week end. The joint work bee with is the 2nd one we have had with MTRA and it has worked out great as both groups working togather helps accomplish what we want to do, and that is improve the trails and horse camps. The weather was great and the camp looks very nice, I can hardly beleive how great the camp looks. All the dead tress are gone and most of the stumps removed. The roads got some gravel in the bad spots and all the tress along the road were side trimmed so the branches won't be hitting the rigs going in and out. The new 147 picket poles really look good and the new poles were driven in the ground and are very solid. This is a great way to meet new horse people and make new friends, the food was great and A big "Thank You" to my wife Sandi for stepping up and organizeing the great breakfast and all the BCH ladies that step up and help make the breakfast and all the donations of the food. Thank You to Mareita Davis for taking the pictures and putting them on our site so all our members can see what was going on, and Carol Hyzer for all the time and effort and the running she did to help keep things running in a timeley manner, to all the rest of the people that helped out in some way or fashiion "THANK YOU". I will not be able to do the work bee a 4 Mile Camp on the 20th to the 21st of August, would somebody like to step up and and represent BCHMI at the work bee with MTRA. If so please contact me and I will notify MTRA of who the point person will be for BCH. Happy Trails,

Good Morning all, I need to report that we had a wonderful time working with the MTRA at Goose Creek last weekend, you will be surprised when you see how nice the camp looks. It is so clean and open, it doesn't look like the same place. I also want to send a big THANK YOU to all those BCHMI members who showed up to help both with the camp work and with the donations for our breakfasts. We cooked for the workers both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Kudos to Sandy Seppi for heading up the kitchen and collecting all the donated food items. It turned out great Sandy. We recorded 340 hours of work over the weekend to compile with coming workbees. All the hours will go to National at the end of the season. THANKS AGAIN to everyone who worked and donated, you are greatly appreciated.

Good morning and what a beautiful start to the week. The birds are signing-Spring is now officially here! Corn planting is on the docket for this week!!! I am so sorry that Connie and I were not able to attend the workbee at Goose Creek this past weekend...of course, cows come first! Even though we were not able to make it in person to help we were there in spirit and also still on duty for our cause just the same as your Legislative Laision. It was also our Lincoln Day Breakfast for Clare County and we were actively involved with the planning of this event.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Lt. Gov. Brian Calley and again he offered many words of encouragement to me and our group to stay the course and thanks for all the patience that we have shown....soon, very soon things should start to happen for the GOOD. I plan to hold him to those words!! Many changes are being made in Lansing and several other problems superceded ours-but, do not be dismayed we are on their list and they are very aware that we are not going away till it's fixed. My State Rep. Joel Johnson and Senator Darwin Booher, Rep. Kevin Cotter and Rep. Jim Stamas were also there and they are all on board with us.

Thanks to all of those who gave of themselves this weekend to help out at the workbee. Your dedication to make our camps better shows that we do care and are willing to make it happen. Thanks to Sandy Seppi for heading up the breakfast-made my mouth water at the thought of a breakfast burrito=my favorite!! Also to Marieta, our wonderful secretary who is such an blessing for helping Sandy! Also to Norm-our fearless leader- president ,for leading the tree trimming crew!!!!!! Stand back and look out-this guy knows how to gettter done!~ Can't wait to see the new and improved Goose Creek Trail Camp!

Hi all, Leaving tomorrow morning for Goose Creek Workbee, I hope to see some of your friendly faces there. Going to help cook the breakfast early Saturday morning, then get down to some serious work. Even my dog is excited about going. It was real frosty here this morning, but the bright sunshine has things warmed right up, supposed to get to middle 70's for the weekend and next week.
